A few updates for subscribers and authors
Firstly, we’d like to welcome all of our new subscribers and authors! It’s great to have you here! Below you’ll find some additions we’re bringing to The Library. Let us know what you think.
Introducing the Buy Indie section
So, you may have received an odd email from The Library this morning and wondered what it was all about. It was an early draft for a new initiative (sent prematurely… doh!) We planned on announcing it today and launching officially afterward, but it seems the cat is out of the bag!
We’ve had several submissions to The Library from indie authors whose works are published and sold in print or as ebooks outside of Substack. In addition to connecting indie authors currently publishing on Substack with a wider audience, we’d like to provide a resource for readers who want to support indie writers everywhere they shop for books.
If you’re on Substack and an indie author (i.e. you either self-publish or work with an indie press), the Buy Indie section is the place to list any books you may have published outside of Substack.
Can readers buy from your author website? Do you have a link to Amazon or your favorite online bookseller? Provide us that link, some details about your book, and we’ll help get the word out!

Adding a Graphic Novel & Comic Book Section
Initially, we weren’t sure there would be enough demand for a section dedicated exclusively to Graphic Novels & Comic Books, but it’s here now by popular demand! Our first author in this category is
